    1. Now we have another photo of the document for this rare medal + photo of the medal that was issued no later than in 1930 (at least!). On the photo we clearly see two additional thin stripes. But the color of these thin stripes looks like it is red! This is kinda strange... But then again this is black-and-white photo… Well, this thin one still looking like red to me My guess is that the medal we see on the page 1094 is the medal that was awarded to Miss Helen Scott Hay on May 12, 1920 (the document on p. 1094 dated 12 may 1920). I believe that both medals belong to the same very first vintage (in toto 42 medals were issued in 1920)!
    2. A little add on to our discussion of the Florence Nightingale Medal and its ribbon style. Recently I came across two very interesting sources. Here they are Anon. (Nov. 15, 1919) Florence Nightingale Medal. The British Medical Journal, Vol. 2, No. 3072, p. 645 Noyes, Clara (Sep., 1930) The Florence Nightingale Medal. The American Journal of Nursing, Vol. 30, No. 9, pp. 1094+1149-1150. Let’s study them.
    3. 7th class. Sorry – only obverse photo.
    4. And now extra rare (no kidding around!) 7th class. And not just your usual 7th class, but 7th class with plastic ribbon. Enjoy!
    5. 5th class. No marks or inscriptions on reverse.
    6. Another more quality piece. Sorry – only obverse photo.
    7. 4th class. Not very high quality replica.
    8. The honest seller will give it to you straight and simple: “Commander’s Cross. Modern manufacture. Neck Badge, silver gilt, enameled, original suspension ring and ribbon, in original case of issue”. 500$-600$ and this “practically everything original” beauty is yours
    9. And now 3rd class replica. Obverse
    10. Sincere dealer description for such set will be “Grand Officer’s Set. Neck Badge, 61x56 mm, metal (frankly speaking! )) gilt (exaggeration), one side enamelled, long neck ribbon. Breast Star, 94 mm., metal gilt, superimposed parts gilt and enameled, large pin on reverse and two side hooks with Japanese inscription on the back. In original (?) lacquered case with Japanese inscription on the lid. Modern high quality fabrication of this rare order”. The price tag will be set around 1200$.
    11. Let’s turn our attention to the 2nd class. Here we have excellent example of “straight” replica. Badge obverse
    12. Just want to demonstrate you how actually "high" the quality of these above badges - let`s take a look at this inferior quality 1st class badge.
    13. Badge close-up (another variation!)
