    2. Glad you like it! At first I didn`t even realise how many lions this millionaire had! Regards, Nick
    3. Very interesting photo from 1923. Leo Moser and special set (224 items) for Pius XI.
    4. This set was created in 1947 - wedding present for princess Elizabeth.
    5. Now let`s take a look at this famous glass. First will be this set that was manufactured in 1915 for king of Spain Alfonso XIII.
    6. Here we have nice photo of Ludwig Moser that was taken in 1901. By this time he was official supplier to Shahs court. Activity that obviously was behind this nice 3rd class lion and sun order.
    7. Ludwig Moser&Söhne Company was founded in 1857 by Ludwig Moser (1833-1916) in Karlovy Vary. It was a glass workshop initially polishing and engraving and later designing and making the finest quality colourless and decorated art glass products. Quality pays and in 1904 Moser received a warrant to supply the Imperial Court of the Emperor of Austria. Four years later became supplier to Edward VII. These (and many others, for example Pope Pius XI and Turkish sultan Abdul Hamid II) royal clients made the company slogan King of Glass, Glass of Kings more than legit. Additional info about this company could be found here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moser_(glass_company).
    8. And another very interesting lion and sun order breast star. This one is in collection of local history museum in Ivanovo (russian town - about 300 km from Moscow). Most probably Russian work and I think these are the real rubies
    9. Please welcome full councillor of State, honorary supervisor of Tiflis Muslim (Ali ibn Abi Talib doctrine) academy Gadgy Zeinalabdin Tagiev. This photo was made in Baku back in the 1890s. What we’ve got here is an orgy of Lion and sun orders! I believe our hero was awarded with all 5 classes of this order. Gadgy Zeinalabdin Tagiev (1823-1924) was azerbaijani millionaire and philanthropist. He was one of the most famous and respected oil magnates in Russia and in the whole world. Oil industry businessman, mill owner, factory owner, fishing businessman (he controlled practically all Caspian fisheries), ship-owner, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera... Back in Iran he owned several caravanserais and in Moscow four-store palace… By the way, naturally all russian orders that you see at this photo are “non-Christians” (these babies will cost you a little fortune nowadays ). In the right upper corner of the photo we see the autograph of our hero together with date (1320AH=1902AD).
