    1. As usual there are three columns. Left – a photo of a Kite. Central – my attribution of the piece to specific time period (Meiji–Taisho–Showa). Right – number under which the given type of a kite will be mentioned in the further discussion.
    2. Here we go again. Again? Yes, again! This time we will hit lower classes. What for? Something wrong with the old classification for 6 and 7 class? No. Everything fine with it. So why we need a new one? This classification will be just more in-depth, made for “mad about”, “can’t live without” golden kites aficionados.
    3. Very elegantly!!! Thanks Windu!
    4. Nice story. Thanks Grag. Now I don`t need to ask why your primery interest USSR and ex-communist block countries ... Even GMIC logo resembles KGB honor badge :)
    5. One more comparison - this time with direct predecessor of the 2003 type.
    6. "Many changes; and most, I fear, will not work out at all." You said it! Same story here. Maybe only with a little higher order of stupidity and incompetence. Day- and-night-around-the-clock. "Still, it is a paycheck..." Exactly! Sometimes you don`t have even that (my life story all way throught 90s). "...this are some rough times ..." I think soon enough we`ll see something much much worse... But don`t worry - I`ve got your back So far only in Moscow...But who knows... With all this globalisation nonsence P.S. How you become so interested in faleristics? P.P.S. Sorry for my importunity
    7. Excellent photo! Thanks for supporting the topic kapten windu! P.S. Heard you have an anniversary with GMIC. Congratulations! ;)
    8. Hi, Greg! Love your style! Keep it up! "I began work with the State (Virginia) and am currently a Sergeant in a maximum security prison for... women " Cool! This sounds exactly like my job... University... Only mine is much more dangerous - I don`t have a gun Your devoted reader from Moscow Nick P.S. If you`ll need anything with translation from russian (or anything else) just let me know.
    9. That’s all I can say about modern rising suns lads! Cheers!
    10. The penultimate photo gives us a good opportunity to see how the star changed. More precisely star overlay. That’s the picture from Osaka mint, pictures of admiral star and old star. Take a good look! I’ve got a feeling that some changes occurred with the form of overlay rays. But maybe it’s just my paranoia :anmatcat:
    11. Here comes the precious document.
    12. Meet distinguished Mr. Blair, US Navy Admiral and holder of the 1st class. Take a good look at the tray and a box! Tradition is still on. And thunderous hurrah for that!
    13. Meet distinguished Mr. Romanet, Chairman of the IFHA and holder of the 3rd class.
    14. Take a close look at the document!
    15. Meet distinguished Mr. Notehelfer, the founding director of the Paul I. and Hisako Terasaki Center for Japanese Studies and a UCLA emeritus professor of history, holder of the 3rd class.
    16. Meet distinguished Mr. Eastwood holder of the 3rd class.
    17. Meet distinguished Mr. Kerr, British Judo Association president and judo expert from Edinburgh holder of the 4th class. Really love this photo! I think deep inside Mr. Kerr is one of us. Don’t you think so?
    18. Meet distinguished Mr. Tommy Lasorda – famous baseball player and holder of the 4th class.
    19. Meet distinguished Mr. Yue Kwan Cheuk, the Founding Chairman of the Japanese Studies Department at CUHK holder of the 4th class.
    20. It’s a pity that modern signs haven't kept women bows. I will miss that nice and beautiful detail. Everything is unisex this days ... :(
    21. Pay special attention to the color of the document – modern documents printed on a different paper (color resemble crème brûlée). Nice!
    22. Meet distinguished Mrs. Fujimoto holder of the 5th class.
    23. Meet distinguished Mr. Fuyuume, Trustee of the Seabrook Educational and Cultural Center (SECC) holder of the 5th class.
