    1. Yep, this 4th class sacred treasure of yours is really something special Matthias! Regards, Nick
    2. Ralph, this is not Tamatebako Miyake. This is privately commissioned (by cavalier or his family) large lacquered case for presentable storage of docs and awards. Cheers, Nick
    3. Another photo of 1st class Sacred Crown in Tamatebako Miyake (unfortunately the photo is black-and-white and only interior is visible)
    4. P.S. The rarest of them all is of course Sacred Crown ... Here we have a photo of Chrysanthemum and Sacred Crown Orders awarded to Romanian King Ferdinand and Queen Maria.
    5. Thanks Rich! Here come a few close ups of the 1st class box for Rising Sun order that we saw in post #35 (thanks for making these Pieter!)
    6. Thanks a lot for correcting me Max! Indeed this is an early republic uniform. Looks like even later (during 20s) some cliques were using this uniform http://ironmarch.org/index.php?/topic/1717-chinese-warlord-army-and-their-uniforms/ Cheers, Nick
    7. Hi Max, Welcome to GMIC! because this center enamel piece have one screw fixation. When cavalier wear his piece long enough this screw (due to constant vibrations) slowly, but surely start to unfasten... Usual story with Japanese orders that have screw construction (golden kites, breast stars of 1st and 2nd classes, etc...) Regards, Nick
    8. Rising Suns - very rare. Treasures - very very rare Two top orders - very very very very rare Regards, Nick
    9. That`s about it folks. If you have additional examples of these beatiful Tmatebako Miyake in your collection - please post them here. Cheers, Nick
    10. Time to see the lower class of rising sun order. 7th class.
