      Looks like a 6th class Rising Sun with those elongated rays.

      Most likely 5th class.

      Although 6th class is also theoretically possible.

      Let`s not forget that rays became elongated only around 1940 ;)

      earlier 6th classes looked exacly like 5th classes (except for the gilding)

    2. Well, this forum certainly looks like dead in the water  :catjava:

       

      Anyway, friend of mine recently asked me about how often do you see cavaliers with orders that have more than one class gap between two awards?  

      That is how often do we see a guy with a 6th or 5th Class RS and a 3rd Class ST, or a 6th Class RS and no ST?

      Well, it certanly happens.

      Let`s take a look ;)

      So this "more than one class gap" is (more or less) a normal thing ;)
