    1. Rick, One more question. Does your list have date of rank for Oberst Siegfried Walther to Hauptmann? Gary B
    2. Dear Rick, From what you have told me I believe the waffenrock would have belonged to would be Oberst Siegfried Walther. Assuming he was a Hauptmann in 1937, I believe it is possible for him to have risen to Oberst by 1943. Does your list show what other awards Oberst Walther was awarded? Thanks again. Gary B
    3. Hi Rick, I apologize for my reeeaaaly delayed response. Somehow this fell off my screen with the post holiday festivities.... Anyway to answer your questions, information on the tailor label/uniform: Hauptmann Walther Nr: 6754 Dez 37 Berlin Tailor label Uniform now has Oberst boards with the letter "S" on them (I assume for a school). Uniform is looped for 3 badges on the left and one on the right breast (DKiG??). Additionally there are 5 ribbon loops. Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance. I wish he had a more unusual name! Gary
    4. Hi, I agree with Rick. Blue is more like "DLV blue". Medical blue is a shade darker. Gary B
    5. Hi Rick, That was my thought ref this tab. I recall seeing your tab before. Thanks for posting it. I guess there will always be some things we just dont know..... Gary B
    6. Paul, Please provide a picture of the obverse of this tab... Gary B
    7. Paul, It is really more of a hand's on/feel thing, at least for me. One of the things I have noticed on the repro brocades is that they seem to be thicker than the originals. You also have to watch out that "modern" DDR brocades have not been added to a WWII officer buckle. Gary B
    8. Hi Paul, It is best to handle these in person. Form what was shown in the pictures I did not have a problem with the brocade or belt. I guess the close hands on exam resulted in his returning the brocade. To answer your question, yes they reproduce the buckles and the brocades. Additionally brocades can be updgraded; i.e. sewing a gold plated keeper to an officers brocade and putting a Gen officer buckle with it. (Brocades for Generals and officers were the same, buckles were in the reverse color though). Gary B
    9. Paul, I think these tabs need hands on examination....please send to DC for me to look at! Gary B
    10. Dear Paul, Nice finds. I wil have to post mine when I get home. I only have 3 sets. Gary B
    11. Dear Paul, You know if they were for sale I would have bought them and then showed you a picture of them! Gary B
