And another one, a documented group of badges belonging to an Honorary Contruction worker (welder) Yondon Tovuu.
Alexei mentions his bio is published in the Mongolian Directory on Heroes of MPR, Labor Heroes and People's and Merited Title holders so will have to look that up later. Maybe somebody can help translate. The group includes:
- Outstanding Construction Worker of Mongolia Badge (NB mentions quite some detail: made of German silver, goldplating and enamels. Hungarian manufacture) which comes with a blue hard cover document hand signed by Minister of Construction of Mongolia Mr. Pleihan. Awarded in 1976
- Badge for 60th Anniversary of Mongolian Construction Sector. Made of brass and red enamel. Awarded in 1986. Comes with a paper back document with an original ink stamp of the Ministry of Construction.
- Badge for Leadership in Socialist Competition of the 5 Year Plan. Awarded to in 1974. Comes with a paper back document bearing an original ink stamp on the Ministry of Construction, signed by the Minister.
I THINK (but not sure) I've found this guy in the blue bible as well (page 492 on top) but will keep scanning to reduce uncertainty... pics in a minute. The surname looks currect (Tovuu), not sure about the first name. Perhaps in my doc's it's abbreviated.

Interestingly enough mine was awarded roughly (same year) same time as Ed's, yet mine is unnumbered (both on the medal and the document)... some inconsistency here.

Suspect the country of manuacture is derived from the reverse of the suspension which - at closer inspection - actually shows a small mintmark:
- an "m", a line below it, and a "w" below that
- below this sign, the word "MET"?
Scanning the blue bible... page after page... to find this person

And the "category" in which this award was given (any translation help?)

Second - the bio!
ANY translation help (full, literal translation please) would be much apprecaited!

Bingo!
For the large group, I've found in the big blue book the bio related to the merit medal! Page 662. It gives the date of awarding (1981-07-09) which matches with the date in the document I have and it also provides a number (233) which appears to be a decree nr (there are more awardings of the same award on that date).
Remember, this merit medal is organized in "groups" in the book... presumably categories such as art, science, etc. - and the 233 represents a decree I believe cutting across those categories.
First - matching pics: bible vs. polar star doc

I have in my collection.
Excellent Sparks
Love seeing these - can never get enough! Besides, more documented numbers is always useful to expand the database:)

Last one, now diving into the big blue book of names!

And last two scans (for now) of the socialist competition big document

And another one...

Another of the big documents

Interior spread off the inventors medal document... some of the wording on the medal and the doc are EXACTLY the same and the first page (previous post) matches the badge as well. The document also has a "fancy" thread on the outside.

The RIGHT document (I think)

Interior of what I think is NOT the doc belonging to the inventors medal

What I was TOLD was the right document for the inventors medal, but i suspect the badge should match a different one (posted later)

any (ANY!) translation help would be appreciated

- small brown document for probably a mining badge - awarded 1957
Undocumented are a polar star and two mining/oil badges

Another group... first an overview
Awarded to Sereenen Dagva Ochir
Aside from the overload of documents, some very specific interesting elements:
- the documented (apparently) inventors medal
- the documented badge of the title of merit (another person to look up)
One polar star is undocumented and we may never know whether it does or does not belong to this group. Same for a few of the badges.
Close ups to follow

Hi Bob,
My friend offered me this complete set, but I have not had time to buy it... I have a badge from this complete set - "50 years to the youth truth".
Yeah, he was in quite a rush - hardly had time to respond or the item was already offered elsewhere.
