and a smaller one but very shiny

And looking at the reverse, the plastic medal bar makes clear that the recipient had to expand on two occasions:)

These look so much alike that you start to wonder whether they could belong to the same individual after all...

Dear sir,
This uniform is realy a "Victory Parade" Uniform. In 1947, for the albanian generals arrived from USSR a number of this uniform.
Here enclosed, a photo of an albanian general in this uniform. This uniform where used from 1947 till 1955.
Excellent... and "nice" award he has on right hand side of the pic :jumping:

Dear Bob,
I have seen, but the catalog isn't online yet
.
3 big auctions within a few weeks ....
We will see, if the Russian collectors are influenced by the financial and stock market crisis
.
Best regards
Christian
Was just reading about a dutch millionaire who bought one of only 20 maybach convertibles recently. His response to the question whether he had doubts in buying due to the recent economic crisis: "it doesn't affected my spending habits the slightest bit"
We'll see...

sort of civic bravery that always SHOULD be recognized somehow.
So possibly one should then think,ok that's what the hero of labor is maybe somewhat for... But I get the impression those are essentially awarded for long work, useful inventions, and "popular" artists. No awardings however to "incorrect" people... Eg during grobatsjov era, no dissidents from the past were "reinstated" and "legitimized" by a hero award?

and there's also another Markov / thenewyorksale coming... where's the winning lottery ticket when you need one :speechless:

Ignoring all the awardings for physical (military) courage, the birthday or other "political" / propaganda awardings (e.g. athletes), did this award ever get presented for MORAL courage?

No. This seems to be a very uninteresting group. No one (else) should bid on it.
For some reason it always happens that just as I'm running short on cash... MULTIPLE great auctions just pop up out of nowhere. Like a law of nature :speechless:

i'd seriously consider selling all my SB's to get that Hero Star... unfortunately even then I'm not sure it would raise enough cash:(
you mean that dagger belonging to a mongolian government member or something? I bid on it but was slighly under... regretted it but it appears from your post that something not right happened:(

When I compare SB prices (remember... 2000 of them) vs. Soyombo (e.g. 10k on collect russia, low number of only 400 or so) and am assuming that SB prices are "appropriate" (after all, we can track over last 2-3 years the gradual increase), I'm left thinking that Soyombo's will soon rocket to well over 20k. Don't even want to start thinking about what a regular Hero Star will go for...
