Putting his business partners on copy (several times
) must have done the trick.

A date anywhere in the booklet?

It "felt" good - incl. details for instance on front top near ring.
It's the number at reverse that made me puzzle - but the "1" looks very close to one I've seen elsewhere
Will post weights after the weekend
I suspect that this medal requires careful review as some people say fakes, but it could also be an issue of multiple variations - I'm not convinced yet re fakes
34.5 gr
24.0 gr (excl. suspension)
Unfortunately don't have my other's handy for comparison weighing

Partial translation:
"Short and concrete description of a personal heroic achievements or merits.
In combat for breaking through the German defence from Narvsckii bridgehead, comrade Jukov together with the operational group from the staff of the regiment in the capacity of a liaison officer has carried out critical communication tasks to the infantry subdivisions under a strong enemy fire.
15.1.45 in "Tshinetz" village he and the commander of the regiment repelled German counter-attack with tanks and sub-machine gunners. He personally killed 2 Germans.
During a counter-attack of Germans comrade Jukov has carried from the battlefield a heavily wounded officer ? the captain of the reconnaissance comrade Vedensckii.
He merits the order of Great Patriotic War of the second level.
Commander of the regiment,
Major Musienko"
Oddly enough this is not referring to the Red Star which he received - he was downgraded?

Ed - any word from Bat on the list of questions posed for him on this forum a while back at your indication?

We've seen a few (rare!) examples of Ikom screwback 3rd class Skanderbegs, which are numbered (and researchable *fingers crossed*).
Finally I've managed to get my hands on a 2nd class one... not numbered, however very nicely cased!
So, presumably a first class Ikom screwback type must then also exist somewhere out there. Probably very, very rare considering I've only seen 2-3 of these Ikom type screwbacks second class.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh.
I don't much like the looks of that one. I know some fakes exist. Have we just seen one?
Please elaborate - just got this one from the January Markov auction

progress at last!
I put some of Markov's business partners on copy of my emails to him. All of a sudden details materialized and my items were found. I've made payment and should now get my items any day... I hope
