    2. I can't begin to describe how fed up I'm getting with this. I won a few lots for items which I was looking for quite some time. None of them particularly pricey (no, I didn't buy a 30-40K item) but on one in particular I got a very good deal.

After many emails, no response. In the end I emailed another partner in the auction and requested action. From this party I got an immediate response and subsequently he also put DM on copy to trigger some action. With that, I did finally get a response but since then after several emails from my side (I was on vacation in Syria) again no response whatsoever.

Why does this have to be so difficult? I bid on some lots, was highest bidder on a few of them and would now just like to pay for them and receive them. But I got no invoice, no details whatsoever. Are my "cheap" lots not a priority? Or did I get too good of a deal on one or two of them?

Am I the only one experiencing this? :banger:

    3. Just in, another cased hero star. No documents unfortunately :banger:

However, from reliable source it is attributed to a senior member of Hoxha's government who was purged (polite way of putting it). Awarded for certain activities in WWII. More details offline for those with a special interest in Albanian awards.

The case is identical to the one shown before. Dimensions are roughly similar to the previous one but let me make a correction: max widtch star tip to star tip is not 17.4 but 27.4 mm. It is also a bit thicker.

      No weight, battery ran out.

    4. When you're the only seller of a screwback easily tracable in the market, I guess the price goes up...

    5. Bought this for the Albania connection... but what is it really?

Seller indicated: YUGOSLAVIA SIGN OF THE ALBANIAN COMM. VOLUME CARRIERS and The society of the medal carriers for the LOYALTY TO THE HOMELAND, /Albanian commemorative volume/ held the I congress in NIS on the 8.VII 1939 and on that occasion all the participants were given signs of the Albanian commemorative volume carriers.

On reverse there's a small mfg mark: "Driesback Tknaby Zagreb" or something like that

    6. Here's an interesting one just in:

Order of Sukhbaatar ? ? ? Order of Combat Valor

? ? faded Honorary Medal of Combat? ? Medal We Won

Medal 50 Years of Mongolian People?s Revolution ? Medal 40 Years of MPR ? ?

? ? Medal 50 Years of Mongolian People?s Army ? Soviet Victory over Germany Medal

Based on the medals NOT on here (i.e. 60 year medals in '81) this appears to be from the late 70?s.

Interesting that he has the Germany medal not the Japan one... and this makes me wonder about the question mark ribbons... I thought nr 2 on top row MIGHT be Soviet Order of Red banner but it's not 100% correct. The others, also Eastern European theater?

    7. I am requesting some help from the forum to point me to quality pics (in particular of the REVERSE incl. also clarity on the screwnut) of the Tuvinian Order of Labour.

One is currently (informally) on the market which - supposedly - belonged to Lodongiin Dandar (Mongolian hero) and I would like to verify it's authenticity.

Perhaps somebody owns a copy of A. Kutsenko, Y. Smirnov. Orders of Soviet Republics. 1996 and could highlight from their the reverse?

Unfortunately Herfurth's pic's are quite small and not clear.

    8. Gentlemen,

Igor's Slava 1st class is a true bargain for collectors from Europe (Russia is part of Europe ;) ), because EUR 9000,- for such a nice Glory 1cl is a very fair price :jumping: .

So, that nice item wouldn't be very long visible at Igor's website - maximum a few days ;) .

      Best regards

      Christian

BTW: The US-Dollar keeps on falling, falling and falling :( .

The first class one being auctioned off by zeige in a few weeks has much lower starting price though

    9. Any possibility of getting a downloadable PDF version of the upcoming auction for the members of this forum?

20 euros for a catalogue which might not contain anything I'm inclined to bid on is a bit excessive for my bank account unfortunaly regardless of the fact that I'm sure it'll be a good reference source
