    1. Some are in enamel and some have material/fabric crosses like this one.
    2. Reverses; note the kanji below the suspension on the Commander's Badge. Fakes don't have those (at the moment).
    3. Obverses
    4. reverse
    5. A poignant bar to a casualty and kept this way by the family.
    6. reverse
    7. Obverse; note the way the medals have been tied down so they don't move about. It's a very nice touch that you see on some medal bars.
    8. Check this out... http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/showthread.php?t=365096&highlight=australia+vietnam Cheers
    9. They guy I got it from told me it was from Gloster Hill, but who knows. It is certainly possible and I'd like to think likely, but without provinance, sadly I can't say that for certain it's a battlefield pick up. I can't think of another modern conflict where it would have sustained that sort of damage and I am confident that the damage is real and not faked as it's similar to many other relics and headgear I have that come from WWI and WWII battlefields. The fact that it's a M44 and black, certainly puts it in the right time period.
    10. You have a beautiful collection. Thank you very much for sharing!
    11. Thank you. I have to admit that I prefer something that was actually in the hands of the man who earned it. It's more exciting to me and seems more like a true piece of history. I'm glad to see others agree.
    12. A nice long non-combatant bar to a man from Baden. Any ideas as to what he was doing to earn the SW Africa and China medals?
    13. A bar for one of the more horrific colonial wars on the South West Africa Medal.
    14. Venezuela bar to a sailor. He sure polished his Colonial Service Medal before he got his WWI medals. : )
    15. China...obverse and reverse Does anyone have any specifics on the clasp? Another nice older one with a tailor label.
    16. Only have one WWI flying badge (retired) but it's a nice Maybauer.
    17. How about some first class etc. the EK1C is an AWS and the Baltic Cross is a Maybauer.
    18. And the reverses of a full set of DRGM wound badges...the silver one is the hardest to find!
    19. A WWI non-combatant bar. NB how the medals are tied down; a very nicely made bar.
