    1. Friedr. Sedlatzek Berlin W8 Lieprigerstr. 108 Metal 1 x 1.5 cm appears to be glued to reverse
    2. Over the years, I've seen various different types of tailor labels and would like to see all the variations and the different ones that collectors have. Fellow collectors have said that only 1/10 of bars have maker's labels on them; I suspect it could be lower than that. Here are a few I've come across. Please feel free to add more. F. Sedlatzek Berlin W8 Lieprigerstr. 108 Gold letters on black 1.2 x 3. cm stitched left and right sides
    3. I've got a small bar consisting of an EKII and the Serviciu Credincious Cross in silver without swords.
    4. Thanks to everyone for all your help. I don't know how you guys can read the handwriting, but I am sure happy that you can. What would we do without GMIC?! Cheers!
    5. Hi Kevin, Thanks for the info. I didn't know that. How about the preceding Romanian medal. What was that awarded for? Thanks again in advance!!!
    6. It's interesting that he has so many "red cross" medals. I believe the last one is the British League of Mercy so his medal bar appears to be very international. I assume he did a lot for charity etc. as the royals do now.
    7. Thank you again Odulf. I'll write this info very very lightly on the back of the CDV in pencil.
    8. Yes, that's the site. Everytime I see a certificate, I jot down all the info or keep the photo and send them an update for their data file. I send them a scan of the certificate if possible and they are very happy to get the info. Needless to say, I've never come across anything or photos regarding the men whose certificates I have, but hope springs eternal and if every one who had a certificate or a photo would send them a scan of it, then the project would grow by leaps and bounds. The photos are amazing and wonderful; just like the ones you see of the English and German veterans in their sunset years sporting their medals proudly. I personally don't have any photos like that but would love to see our fellow members post theirs with names if possible.

    11. Thank you. I see that on the photos you've posted, he has three stars whereas on the earlier one he has two. He also has several more decorations and it's good to see them up close. Thank you again.

    13. http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_02_2012/post-7116-0-68307300-1328401579.jpgI finally found one... : )
    14. Thank you. It's obvious it was to a man named Erich, but I was wondering if it could be his last name underneath... It's all Greek to me.
    15. I'll do my best to get a close up, but I know the medals are not British.
    16. http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_02_2012/post-7116-0-06341500-1328389304.jpgAnd here's what was inside. Thank you in advance.
    17. I found this the other day and would like very much to know what rank and nationality the naval officer is. Any and all help would be appreciated. The photo studio reads "Ebner" and it has "La Haye" in the lower right with "reproductie" in smaller letters above. My guess is it was taken in France, but I am not sure. Thank you in advance.
