    1. I second that said by DJ Joe. Is that the badge being worn on the gentlemen's cap or is that Heim Wehr? Thanks Again. Robert
    2. Don I searced up my Cone and read a little about these. From the photos he shows (Type III un viewable) I would say that my example would be the more common Type II in nickel/silver. What type would you conclude yours to be. Maybe it is my addition but I can't make out exactly what the Type III should look like. Note my odd pin set-up. It does work however. Robert
    3. Don Correct. 18mm it is. I notice that my example has a hole in the center of the dot on the bow at the bottom. Did these come in 2 or 3 Types? Cheers Robert
    4. This is a good thing right Mr. Claymore? This way we can have a base for just SA. I am very curious to see how many we have from all of our collections. The moderator or Chairman could delete any we double-post.
    5. What a tiny bugger this is! Have a Nice Weekend. Robert PS reverse is marked only ges. gesch. on both the badge itself and the attaching pin plate.
    6. Another. I am at page 30 working backwards.
    7. I agree with top shelf. I am currently wading thru the tinnie database and pulling my SA to put in here. Long way to go. Sportag 1936 SA Brigade 49
    8. You two guys are very astute in your observations. I probably should keep it since this maker is uncommon. It just chaps my hide a tad because this came from a "reputable dealer" and no mention was ever made of a repair. The job was well done except the pebbles are gone in that spot. Thanks Men. For Joe a Happy Fouth of July and for Don a happy Wednesday! I am happy. Three consecutive days off to come! Robert
    9. Claymore you are doing very well in your area. Congrats. Pete already knows how I feel about him. HA-HA! I move this one to this thread. Gives a whole new meaning to "massive"
    10. I noticed the repair as soon as I had it in hand. Of course I couldn't see it from thew seller's scan. As a matter of fact, I had to e-mail him because I couldn't make out the maker either. When he replied Mayer I jumped as I only know of Don's example. I can allways mail it back. The repair doesn't detract too much actually but a repir it is just the same. What do you guys think of the rivets? Ther eagle appears the same as Don's example as well. heers Robert
    11. A nice badge with documentation. It doesn't really get any better than that. Kudos to you sir. Robert PS I will now add this badge to my list of wants when I attend a show next week. For some unknown reason, these shooting badges are generally not that popular. Hard to explain..
    12. Don I couldn't resist this B. H. Mayer. It appears someone along the way made a feeble attempt to clean the reverse. Also, notice if you would the way the rivets have been flattened unlike your example. Also, it appears as if it has been repaired in the top right corner of the green as that area is lacking pebbling. Have a good day all. Robert
    13. My example of which i spoke. The needle is so dainty, it is hard to imagine how it survived intact for 70+ years. On that note, do any of you folks ever ponder the life and history of any of your pieces? Some look so fresh it makes one wonder where and how they where kept out of harms way (children or disinterested heirs just to name a few) for all these years? Just the tiniest bit of solder securing the needle.
    14. SA Standarte Weisbaden on WAF. Quite a bit of silver wash left on it but looks like a replacement pin. Just a heads up is all. Have a Nice weekend. Robert PS I already have that one. Mine has less silver left but has its' original pin.
    15. Joe did you notice the 2 dotice on the right of the clef? I know less than nothing about notes so my question would be what are their signifigance? Have a nice weekend. Robert
    16. Herr Rosenberg I see. Thank You. So this pin would be worn by a travelling salesman? Robert
    17. Nick Ambulanter would be ambulance driver or some such? I have never seen one of these before. I would guess an early badgebut I only guess. Thanks for showing it to us. Robert. PS Has the red enamelling bled into the white or is it the scan?
    18. Gents Due to international monetary valuations and the huge spike in prices over here to offset the inequality I have still been in a state of semi-hibernation but I couldn't resist this one. I googled Lobeda and found it lies on the eastern outskirts of Hamburg. As you can see it is only slightly larger than the DSB but just as dainty. Carl Wild/Hamburg on the reverse. I wasn't able to locate it in Husken either. Notice the musical symbol turns in the opposite direction. perhaps there are some good Hamburgers that might know a little more of Lobeda. Keep up the good work guys. i just haven't been able to add much to my collection lately. Robert
    19. I'll stay with the porting theme. 32. Kr-Turnfest 1934 Singen-Hohentwiel Many Turnfest tinnies lack a Haken Kreuz but this one has very distincly placed one. Robert
    20. DRL 1 Kreisfest Volklingen 10-12 Juli 1937. Nice pectorals on the SA man. A nice weekend to all. Robert
    21. Don A laudable souvenier just the same right down to the vertical umlaut. Actually, your example is in very nice condition. Mine has most of the silver wash worn away. Have a nice weekend.
    22. Kreistag Regensburg 1934. Pretty straightforward wouldn't you say?
