    1. Don How on Earth do you find those? Is this badge for a shooting competition or is it from a training facility? Would you know what the wording on the top of the badge means. I found Ehren which means honorary and nadel has a number of meanings none of which have anything to do with shooting. I like the placement of the Hakenkreuz. Not too overpowering but there just the same. A real beauty I have never seen. Bravo!
    2. I can only second what Don said. This is a great place to learn by combining everyone's imput. A great weekend to all. Robert
    3. The Badge reads.....and am I glad I have new glasses.....Verband Deutscher Rundfunkteilnehmer Ad Saar EV. Thank You for all of your help. Robert
    4. Joe What an interestin tinnie. I have never seen that one before and so curious how the i is missing. Thanks for showing that rare gem. The Saarlandar slays the dragon. And I wonder who the dragon might be? Oh, and if Mr. rosenberg reads this, maybe he would know what percentage of the regions population is german speaking as opposed to french speaking? I am just curious.
    5. Releif! I would hope then that W. Redo was in business while still Saarlouis and not Saarlautern. So this would be a pre-unification piece from before 1936? So this would be a german radio operators badge in occupied Saarlouis? Kind of confusing but it makes sense. Thank You Mr. Rosenberg. This is all a great help. That had to be an exhilirating and exciting time to live in that region. Unification awaited. Robert
    6. Thank You Joe. This badge is so well marked and made and I would even go so far as to say it shows honest age. I recall a certain badge marked with Saarlouis but for the life of me, I can't recall it. Robert
    7. I agree Don. Saarlouis has French conotations. Perhaps it is an early badge where Louis was used before lautern. Sure is nicely marked though and well made. My fingers are crossed. Mr. Rosenberg may know. Robert Perhaps Warlord will look at this also.
    8. Gentlemen This is a recent pickup. It is similar to Husken 7301 a-b but with horizontal lines. Any others? Thanks for looking. Would this be some kind of radio operators badge. I am curious as it is in Huskens KdF section. Have a nice weekend. Robert
    9. [attachmentid=52590][attachmentid=52591] Maybe the most handsome and well-crafted tinnie I have. Ein Volk Ein Reich Ein Fuhrer 10 April 1938 A scan simply doesn't do it any justice. 3-D in hand Attaching pin plate marked PH. Turkk....cannot make the rest out
    10. [attachmentid=52548][attachmentid=52549] Here is one I have had a scan of for a time and never posted. Today is as good a day as any. Post your sympathizer pins. Have a nice weekend.
    11. Yes, kudos to Don for putting these together and imparting his expertise. The badge I have shown was acquired after studying Don's example and seeing that it looks like a match. A 'must view' thread before making an acquisition. Have a great weekend. Robert
    12. [attachmentid=51892][attachmentid=51893]HJ-GEBEITS-SPORTTAGE 22-26 JUNI 1938
    13. [attachmentid=51860][attachmentid=51861] Gents I thought I would add this 20 Year to this database. I would conclude that this is a Poellath by the pin attaching plate. Regards Robert
    14. Stephen, Very interesting. Thanks for that thread. Any thoughts on the sqaure dot in Husken on the Student Badge. Robert
    15. Ah Hah! Great eyes. I had to use my loup to see that it was square nad not round. I guess then that the smaller example would be the miniature or stick-pin version. Now what light does that shed on Stephen and Don's examples? The maker on mine matches Cone. Amended: have just checked Cone and his example is 33 with round dot like Don and Stephen. So then I would deduce from all of this that Mine is correct per Husken and Don and Stephen's are correct per Cone. To be able to see another 63 would help resolve this. I lean toward Don and Stephen since they are a pair and I am solo. More research more research! Thanks for your helpful imput. My pulse rate has declined by 20%.
    16. Stephen Thanks for your reply. I was at a particular disadvantage when I purchased it. If I recall correctly, I viewed it for about 10 seconds, I scanned Cone's book for about 10 seconds, I re-scanned the dealer's image for 10 seconds, and hit BUY THIS NOW! Then came the e-mail stating that I was succesful and it was mine! I was so happy and lucky to be able to do all my research in 30 seconds! One can only wonder how long the dealer spent researching. More than 30 seconds.....or less. I am hoping to see another 63 or here what others might add before I march to the Post Office, spend $10, and deal with 1-3 weeks of angst over "lost in the mail" issues. Robert
    17. Notice the diferences between the two makers of this badge. I was confident about getting this badge for two reasons: same maker as Cone's example and the seller is a well known dealer. Hint: Weekly frenzied updates. Now, upon closer inspection, I notice the dot in Cone's example is round and my example is anything but! We shall see. Thoughts? Opinions? Yet another to return at my expense of course? Have a nice weekend. Robert
    18. [attachmentid=51480][attachmentid=51481]Gents Here is a Kampfhilfe I have (M1/63
    19. Hellooooo! Nice ones Pete. What do you think of this one? How are your german reading skills? I need new eyewear. Robert
    20. [attachmentid=51432] Here is the reverse. The cut-out area may indicate post-war but I don't know for sure. Perhaps a Mother's helper? An aux pair? I don't know but it is a pretty badge in the Frauenschaft vein. I am going to put it on the tinnie thread and try to get a response from Pete Wood. He may know. Take Care Robert
    21. [attachmentid=51429] Sorry about that. I am in the middle of painting my house so I step in here for a nice break. Here it is. Do you want to see the reverse? Robert
    22. [attachmentid=51416] Gents This little bugger is very hard to see no less try to interpret. I am hoping one of our esteemed German literati could give me a hand. Perhaps it is time to upgrade my eyewear too. Have a great weekend. Robert
    23. Yes you are probably right. I thought that this being Sunday it would be an appropriate posting. I find it pretty amazing that with all of the destruction and then rebuilding in Nurnberg/Berlin time and inclination was still found to produce badges like this. Thanks for youre imput. Robert
    24. [attachmentid=50742][attachmentid=50743] A good Sunday to all. Would any body have any knowledge about this group? The badge itself is very well made and well marked. I couldn't locate it in Husken. Pre-war? Post-war? Ideas? Thanks for looking. Robert
    25. Gents Here is my example of this badge. Would there be any others out there and if so would the markings be the same? Robert [attachmentid=49294][attachmentid=49295]
