    1. This is very interesting indeed. Perhaps there was a tinnie and a badge for this event. My example is very nicely made so I would doubt they were mass produced. james, thanks for that interesting tidbit from Tieste.Mr. rosenberg a very astute observation. Robert
    2. [attachmentid=41979][attachmentid=41980] Gents I just wanted to post this little gem. I was taken by the quality of the enamel work and its' color. I have done a quick look thru Husken and can't seem to locate it. If others have an example to show please do. Robert
    3. Don You make a good point. Why on Earth would someone fake that particular badge. Especially with the edging that it has. The cost is very reasonable si If it is there when I return I'll grab it and post. I bet it will be. Its' lack of a swastika precludes it from grabbing anyones eye except for a collector. To the laymans' eye it looks like a piece of drab costume jewelry. We will see on Wednesday. Have a great weekend. Robert
    4. Don, Thanks for searching for me. I have never seen one before no less hold one in my hand. I raced home from the market and opened up Husken only to find it there. I will be heading back there next Wednesday to see if it is still there. If it is a copy there aren't many of them out yet. Maybe over the weekend someone will offer their reverse image or even an observation about any markings. Robert
    5. Don Coming from you that means alot. The legitimate maker numbers for Frauenschaft badges are hard to keep straight without any reference in hand. Frank & Reif is ingrained in my memory for some reason. Have a good day. Robert
    6. Sorry to be a bother but I had the opportunity to purchase this badge today. I passed on it for the sole reason that it was unmarked. I know that my smaller NSV badges and stickpins have RZM markings. The piece did show some wear but without any markings and the knowledge that I may never see the seller again I passed it by. My hope is that a fellow collector has one of these and would be kind enogh to post a front and reverse image. If luck is with me it won't be sold for its' lack of a swatstika and I can grab it next week. You never know. Thank you for your time and courtesy. Robert
    7. [attachmentid=40594][attachmentid=40595]Got this one at the local antiques and collectible market today. Pulled it out of a cigar box full of costume jewelry. KdF Berlin I suspect. I can't find it in my Manion's tinnie books. Robert
    8. [attachmentid=40592][attachmentid=40593] Gents Today being one of the nicer days of Spring I decided to venture down to the local antique and collectibles market. Am I glad I did. I almost had forgotten how exciting it is to go from table to table in search of nice items. I got to handle at my liesure, I didn't have to hear a lecture from an "expert" and there were some items mixed in with other collectibles to look at. No militaria tables per se. I truly beleive that nothing beats physically handling an item. No trick camera angles either. I relied on memory on this one. I also got a KdF tinnie I had never seen before mixed in with costume jewelry in a cigar box. It was a blast. Have a good day. Robert
    9. [attachmentid=40173] I have tried to re-scan the reverse to no avail. However, Under a loup and squinting eyes I have come up with this design with a letter in each circle that i cannot quite make out. I know this logo but for the life of me I can't recall it. Pardon my inferior sketching abilities. Robert
    10. [attachmentid=40118]I don't think this will help but here it is. Using my loup as well as straining my eyes it appears to be 3 circles together to form a kind of triangle. It seems familiar but I can't place it. Maybe someone would know. Take a look if you would. Thanks alot. Robert
    11. [attachmentid=40089][attachmentid=40090] And here is my little guy. It never ceases to amaze me how nicely the enamel work is done on these tiny jewels. Although hard to see, mine has a maker logo on the reverse. I will try to bring it up with a better scan. Robert
    12. [attachmentid=40057][attachmentid=40058] Gents Here is my smaller version RLB. 9719c page 188. have a nice weekend. Robert
    13. [attachmentid=39719][attachmentid=39720]Although a paltry follow-up to Ralph the show must go on! Der Fuhrer In Koln. Frei Ist Der Rhein. 28.3.1936
    14. Yes A rare one. Page 131 in Husken's book. Lovely blue enamel. Welcome aboard and congrats on holding such a nice piece! Robert
    15. [attachmentid=39716][attachmentid=39717] Gents I just added this little pin to my collection. Please take a look and maybe you could let me know what you think it was used for. If for a tie, how would it be worn? It appears to be made of silver. The reverse has a 3-digit number on it which is very hard to see even with a loup. 999 or 969 I can't really say for sure. Thank You all. Robert
    16. Yes possibly with a crimper. Either way it is a stickpin like Mr. scowen has shown. Robert
    17. Pat From my vantage point I would say your example is a stickpin with the pin broken at its weakest point. Someone had to bend it back and forth quite a few times to make that happen I suspect. Robert
    18. [attachmentid=39042]After a lot of searching I think I found one that Ralph actually doesn't have!!!
    19. Reverse. PS You have to like 334 and 336. The symbolism of 334 especially. And you got that one right before me!! Nice collection. Approximately what is your total number of tinnies in your collection?
    20. Pete The one Williw has for sale was exactly like mine....and how can anything be too pricey in pounds sterling? I tend to go for what catches my eye. Like this one. I know too pricey.
    21. [attachmentid=38918][attachmentid=38919]Pete With regards to your Kieler Woche badge you showed in a previous post. That's coming up soon is it not? Have a nice weekend. Robert
    22. [attachmentid=38661][attachmentid=38662]Gausangerfest Hanover 1939
    23. [attachmentid=38658][attachmentid=38659]Wasserstrassen Wassersport Stuttgart 1935
    24. The first one you have shown is in FoxHole Volume 3 Item 1100. The details onthe one in the book are a lot more defined and crisp. Combine that with the strange pin attachment set-up would logically lead me to conclude that it is a copy. It is hard for me to conceptualize someone going through such an effort to re-create an item that is worth so little monetarily. Now I am having doubts about the one I previously liked that you have shown seeing that it had the same pin attachment configuration.
