Hi Charles,
The first one is better for a General tunic (we see the ribbon of the RAO).
Chrhistophe
I would agree. Silver swords would most likely mean Military Merit Order 4th Class. That and the Red Eagle ribbon would say to me that this was an officer's ribbon bar.
The long service ribbon may be for the Landwehr medal or it could be for the 24 year cross.

Wow Matt! That's the same bar (see folding on the ribbons)!!!! :o I haven't seen this picture before... where did you find it? Egay... ehm... I mean Ebay?
Hi Claudio,
I was doing a little searching and found it. I believe it was on eBay last week or the week before.

A shame someone has done this....and all in the name of profit no doubt.
The medal bar is currently on ebay. It will be interesting to see where the price goes. :banger:

Dear Costin,
Welcome to the forum!
From these photos I would say this is a good one. Is the core magnetic?

Dear Gentlemen,
I came across this medal bar recently. To me the combination does not make much sense but I am still learning.
Have the Iron Cross and Honor Cross been swapped out with these 1870 medals? Crown Order Medal too maybe? Unfortunately no good clear photos of the ribbons around these medal suspension rings.

Very nice Dan. The KVK with swords is a late war zinc piece.

Hey Stogie man,
Didn't you assemble and sell German ribbon bars on eBay a few years ago? I think I remember some of your stuff.
Dear Arnim (aka Gerst)
Perhaps you are confusing Stogieman with yourself?

You seem to use these forums as a means to your own end. The amount of reproduction ribbon bars you have made using the images of the originals you find posted here over the years is ridiculous, even if sold as copies.
The gentlemen here post photos from their collections in good faith; not for them to be taken by you and used for your own financial gain. You do not bring anything of substance here just controversial nonsensical arguments.

Wouldn't the ribbon be pale blue?
Initially yes it would have been but obviously it has not aged so well after 70 odd years....

My guess would be Bulgarian Bravery Order with a device like this one.

@Christophe,
What a truly beautiful Saxon Order. It is good/helpful to see the 1st and 2nd class posted side by side.
@Dean,
I really like your medal bar!
Best wishes
