Eric,
I believe you can post pics up to 60Kb until you post a certain amount of posts (not sure how many, maybe a Moderator can help you with details), then you'll be able to posts pics up to 110Kb.

The silver one looks kinda like "MM(x)" which should be the Moscow Mint as the Red Book says.

That's pretty much what mine looks like. Kinda. It's so damn small it's hard to say even under magnification.
Is it worth trying to set up my zoom lens to get this?
And if I do can I post images here? I'm a new member (probationary) and I haven't paid any money to be an associate yet. Do I have priveledges?

Wasn't "toe the line" referring to way back when barefoot sailors placed their toes on one 'line' (seam) in the deck when reporting for divisions/inspection?

b. Medal square:
Nice! Thanks. I'll post my non-nut solder screwpost bases at SMAP or WAP since I don't know how to do it here yet.

3. Reverse with medal square to view:
Take off the screwplate Darrell, please. What's the base of the post look like?
Not that that means a thing, just curious if it's solder or a small nut.

So there were no variants in these? Also, I would love to see some documents if someone has some to share!!!
I have a set that do not have the small nut on the screwpost. The screwpost seems to be soldered in place.
Everything else looks to be the same.
Sorry, but I can't post images here yet.

The one on the lower right-hand side is of the Cruiser Aurora (whose gun signalled the start of the Revolution).

Ha!! I can post images!
Here's the first of three images of my two "nutless" MMs.
Unfortunately the images are not good. Basically what stands out is an outer border of dot dot dots with some unintelligable squigles inside.
