Hello Gentlemen
Does Hungary has a Fieldmarshal during the WW2?
Regards
Alexandre
Hi Alexandre,
Would assume so as they definitely had the rank. This is from "The Armed Forces of WWII" by Andrew Mollo. Illustrations by Malcolm McGregor and Pierre Turner.
This is the rank chart for the Army:

And just the Field Marshal rank:

Again if any objections to these being posted I'll be happy to remove it.
Hope this helps. Perhaps one of the other members can confirm if there were indeed Hungarian FM's during the war and if so how many and perhaps who they were.

Well, that's it. If I've gotten any of these wrong please give me a nudge and let me know.
Thanks,

I also have a set of these with red base for an Army Major General. But they're on a leather jacket I wear on occassion in winter.

Now the ones that I believe are more modern.

No idea if the buttons are original to these as they seem a tad on the new side to me. But again I'm no expert.

This set has no star... otherwise it would have been for a Junior Lieutenant. Am assuming Infantry here.

Another Lieutenant of Artillery although not sure why on black instead of red.

This is the inside of the strap and under the board:

Both boards are the same and have a number 2 under the strap as shown.

Hi all,
I'm assuming these are all Soviet. Don't know a ton about them but figured I'd post and perhaps get the scoop from some of the members who may specialize in these.
First off the ones I was told are WWII.

Hi all,
Always loved
this style of buckle. Got this one for all of $5 many moons ago. Only wish I had the belt and cross strap to go with it.

The tunic is a size M44. The info in the cap is MdI size 56 1856 Y. And the cap comes complete with East German newspaper or other printed material in the inside as a stiffener as is so common in so many of their caps.

Hi Kevin,
Wow! Many thanks for those. I haven't even had a chance to check my Nato and other guides yet as I think they're in there too. Great stuff.
Perhaps some day I'll come up with some more and be able to start a collection of these too. Just what I need, eh?
Thanks!!!!

Dan!!! I was so impressed with that hard to find '95 (with cross on top of crown rather than more common Iron Cross), that I went and bought one today!!
Thanks for making me spend more money on more buckles! hahahahaha
I'll certainly post pics when it comes in!!
Cheers!!
Rob
Hi Rob,
Can't wait to see pics of the new additions!
And hey, what are friends for but to make each other spend more money on goodies to love?
Bet she's a beaut!

Hi all,
Here's the first of my DDR uniforms... Transportation Police:
[attachmentid=52240]
Tunic and peaked cap. Sadly no slacks. Still has the tag on the sleeve.
I just realized this doesn't show the patch on the sleeve. Will have to try to do some more pics later. Or might just do a scan of it and the tag.

Hi all,
Just happened upon these when I was looking for something last night so thought I'd pop them on.
First, a USMC knife I got from my grandmother. She had no idea where it came from.

[attachmentid=52276]

And a USN spoon made by Fred A. Barton.
