    1. Now on to number two:

SOVIET HONORARY TITLE DIPLOMA ID RUSSIAN DOCUMENT.

USSR Honorary Diploma ID That Was Used In Soviet Union. This Honorary Diploma Says That There Will Be Portrait Of The Recipient On Hall Of Fame!

Diploma ID Was Represented From Ukraine SSR Party Supreme Deputy & Deputy Secretary!!!

ID Was awarded To Comrade (Mrs.) Zinaida Zernenkaya. BY THE WAY HERO OF SOCIALISTIC LABOUR!!!!

    2. Hi all,

I've had a request to post these in a separate thread so here goes.

Here's are my latest additions to my Soviet document collection. I'll include the (paraphrased) descriptions of the seller (Zozlo) and also the pictures are his and used with his kind permission. As always any and all comments and translations are most welcome.

First off... my favorite of all of them:

DOCUMENT FOR HIGHEST SOVIET AWARD ?HERO OF SOCIALIST LABOR?.

Congratulation Document For ?Hammer & Sickle Golden Star? Hero Of Socialist Labour Of The USSR.

IT IS HUGE!!!!!! The Dimensions Of The Item Are About 16,93`(43cm) x 12,2`(31cm)!

      Awarded To Comrade Petr Mishkin.

    3. Hi all,

I've had a request to do this and some of my other new documents in seperate threads by themselves. So here we go.

First off, the pics are from Vitaly Kudinov (Okudinova on Ebay) and used with his kind permission. :jumping:

1948 Soviet Army ID document to issued to Sergeant Shatilov Pavel Emelianovich on March 15, 1948. Best part is it lists his awards as: Combat Service medal # 1,941,100 on April 19, 1944 and Order of Red Star # 1,850,009 on April 4, 1945. So hoping I'll be able to get him researched and find out more about him and his awards. And having his pic where he's actually wearing one of his awards is a definite bonus in my eyes! Just wish I had the awards to go with it. Perhaps they'll turn up some day. But hoping at the very least there will be an interesting story behind it all.

    4. Barry, that's an outstanding collection! :speechless1: Those documents are fantastic and considering the age in excellent condition! :jumping::jumping: Here's hoping you're able to finish up your collection of Marshals.

      Dan

    5. well, I'm a romanian and I'm quite haoopy that you find the romanian medals atractive.

I have many romanian medals in 2 pieces. If you want, we can make an exchange. I want to start a foreign collection.

      Tell me your opinion.

Dan (yes...my name is Dan too) :D

      Hi Dan,

Sorry it took me a bit to get back with you. Just been up to my ears with work and projects here at home that I've had to put off for far too long.

Not sure what I'd have to trade as I've pretty much pared down all my extras and such over time. But let me know what you're interested in trying to collect and perhaps we can try to work something out. Would love to know what you have as well. Will PM my email if you'd like to send me a list/pics.

      Thanks!

      Dan

    6. Uh oh. Another addiction.

I've decided to stick with "RPR" (with some exceptions) because the QUALITY of the awards and desgns is much nicer than the "RSR" awards.

Re: another addiction, you can say that again Rick! :speechless: Just what I need... yet another area to jump into. But I'm thinking it'll take me a good while as this one took me about fifteen years or so.

Re: the quality... I was extremely impressed. Multipiece construction and rather hefty. Nice enamel... good finish on the metals. Definitely well made. And the case is none too shabby either. :jumping::jumping:

      Dan

    7. Medaille for Treue Dienste in der Zollverwaltung der DDR (Medal for Long Service in Customs - 15 Years)

      DDR.

Well, definitely a bonus then. Assuming I can obtain the correct ribbon bar at some point then all I need to do is get the DDR 15 year customs medal and I've got the proper ribbon bar for it. :jumping::jumping:

      Again many thanks!!!!

      Dan

    8. Is this the highest number known awarded to an individual?

      Hi Paul,

Zozlo had sent me over this additional information. Was hoping he'd post it as I suggested same but I think he hit the bed before he got my next email. Here's what he said in reference to this:

"The Only Information That We Can Mention That 5 Orders Of GPW Is The Maximum Number For One Person Ever, Also Second That For Nowadays Only 2 Such Knights Known With 5 GPW... Mamonov Ivan Ivanovich & Our Unkown Officer And The Third That This Guy Had All 5 "War" Orders, Not 1985 Anniversary..."

I'm assuming that's either all 2nds, or a combination of 1sts and 2nds. Interesting that he refers to these two individuals as Knights... assuming he means Cavaliers although I think "officially" in the Soviet awards system that those with all three classes of the Order of Glory and the Order of Labor Glory are referred to by that name/title.

Also, not sure if more could be worn if say either or both of these gents survived the war and made it to 1985 and were awarded one of the 85 issues... if that's a possibility then assuming a total of six including the 1985 issue.

But please, if any of our more learned members knows better please correct me on this.

I did manage to find this over at SAF by Alexscl, one of their Russian members:

      "Patriotic War ? 5 orders ? 3 of 1st class and 2 of 2nd class ? HSU Fiodorov I.E.

Patriotic War 3 of 1st class ? General Major Jzilin A.N., HSU Colonel Goriachkin T.S."

Hoping someone can give us the answer to this.:beer:

      Dan

    9. Hi all,

Here are some photos that were sent to me by a seller I'm dealing with (Zozlo) who thought our members might enjoy them.

I actually just realized there are only two pics... the "third" being a closeup of the group shot. :speechless: If a moderator could please correct the title I'd appreciate it.

The first is an individual officer in greatcoat, the other being a group showing alot of gongs:

I particularly like this one from the group shot which shows a five time OGPW awardee! :speechless1: Being one who loves and has an ever breeding collection of OGPW's I thought this one was the best.:jumping:

      Many thanks Zozlo!

      Dan

    10. And number four... alas the only one of the four sets without a photo of the recipient:

SOVIET HONORARY DIPLOMA ID RUSSIAN DOCUMENT.

USSR ID That Was Used In Soviet Union.

ID Was awarded To Comrade (Mrs.) Olga Kirpichenko (Laureate Of Ukraine SSR State Prize).

It Is Very Rare Diploma That Says Olga`s Portrait Will Be Set On Main Ukraine Glory Avenue!!!!

As You Can See This DIPLOMA Established By Ukraine Presidium Of Ministers Of USSR & Soviet Working Union!!!!!!

I'm wondering if those portraits are still there. If so... if it might be possible to eventually get a photo of the one to match this document set. If any of our members are ever there and would be willing to check and perhaps get such a photo I'd be deeply grateful.
