This award is unofficial. It belongs to the so-called "vanity medals" sold to WW1 vets by various "Kriegervereine" during the Weimar Republic era. The Weimar Constitution, article 109, prohibited the making of official orders or decorations. -

Hi Nick, Thank you for getting back to me. Although it might look very "Westerner" I think it is Chinese because of the colours used in the central medallion. Whereas for the missing part, it looks like nothing is missing... Cheers, Jean-Sam.
