Hallo Gentlemen I spotted a certain seller on US Ebay Auctions listing a lot of III Reich Badges, he is under the impression that just by showing the rear he circumvents the ebay anti-Nazi military items policy, now, in my opinion I think that some are not genuine items so I copied all the Maker Stampings from the pictures and will add them here. Please feel free to take a look and rate them by quoting the post number along with your honest opinions, A B C If any prove to be genuine then I can remove then from the "Fake" thread. Many thanks. Hallo Joe, The main Churches here are Romanian Orthodox, Romanian Catholic, Greco-Catholic, with Evangelical, Baptists, etc. . in fact the country is awash with churches, Monastarys, etc. . . with more being constructed every day!! The country Churches in wood are very beautiful, and a great source of Commemorative headstones to soldiers as well, many with pictures of the soldier in uniform. If it was possible I would like to see all of the monuments and headstones documented for historical purposes Its not technicaly my country, I just borrowed it after getting married to a beautiful Romanian lady Kevin in Deva.

Heer Two ribbon bars
Kev in Deva replied to Laurens Q's topic in Wehrmacht Medals, Decorations & Awards
Hallo Gents, Can I add my tuppence worth with regards this. How about the bar belonging to a soldier who did not fall into the criteria for the Eastern Front Medal? The award dates were given as: "The Ostmedaille was presented to all those who served on the Russian Front between 15 November 1941 and 15 April 1942." However he could have got the Romanian medal for service with the Romanians after the 15th April 1942, 1943, 1944 depending on if the Romanian criteria was strictly adheared to. Despite the Romanian Crusade medal being placed for sale on Ebay with crossed sword on the ribbon for combatants it would have been available for non-combatants, rear echelon etc..etc.,It was however awardes with an assortment of battle-bars. The inscription on the base of the monument: I must add the quality of the pictures is not the best my own camera is out of order so I borrowed one from a friend, I will however as soon as the oppurtunity arrises re photograph the monuments for more detail, The WW2 one is in a red stone and it is hard to make out the detail of the names, due to this.

Hallo Gentlemen, Yesterday I was traveling with a friend along the road from the city Timisoara in Timis County towards the town of Lugos, as so often happens we got held up near a small country village called "SUSTRA", when a bus in front of decided to give up the ghost due to the +35? heat (see picture) As we waited, I spotted the village church just down the road on the left, so asking my buddy to wait I nipped across the road and walked down to see if there was any memorial to the men of the village who fought in WW1 and WW2, I got a nice surprise in front of the church was not one monument but two, with pictures of the soldiers on it!!! Close ups to follow. Kevin in Deva.

Heer Two ribbon bars
Kev in Deva replied to Laurens Q's topic in Wehrmacht Medals, Decorations & Awards
Hallo Laurens Q Welcome to the forum, can you add pictures of the rears of the ribbon bars please, this sometimes helps to determine if the bars are recent put togethers. The second bar has the Romanian ribbon of Military Virtue used in connection with the Crown or Star of Romania awards and the Crusade Against Communisum 1941 Medal ribbon, these were freely bestowed to German troops in Romania and on the Russian Front alongside Romanian Military units at Stalingrad and the Crimea Campaign. Yeah, after it was over and the U.S. soldiers returned from their "ordeal" one appeared with his German girlfriend on a German T.V. show, he recounted his adventures, I was in a friends house in Bavaria at the time and after listning to his story "Oma" sniffed and said "what he endured was a holiday compared to what our boys captured at Stalingrad had to endure!!!" Sort of put things into perspective! Kevin in Deva

On 15 November 2005, Israel and the Palestinian Authority concluded an "Agreement on Movement and Access", including agreed principles for Rafah crossing (Gaza). On 21 November 2005, the Council of the EU welcomed the Agreement and agreed that the EU should undertake the Third Party role proposed in the Agreement. It therefore decided to launch the EU Border Assistance Mission at Rafah crossing point, code-named EU BAM Rafah, to monitor the operations of this border crossing point. The operational phase of the Mission began on 30 November 2005 and will have a duration of 12 months. On 24 May 2007 the Council adopted, by written procedure, a joint action extending for a year, until 24 May 2008, the mandate of the mission. Kevin in Deva
