Just to give this thread a bump. Shoulder board on a uniform jacket and pants I obtained today in a second-hand clothing shop in Transylvania, which Paul R id as being Stasi!!! Thanks Paul Kevin in Deva.

Hallo Paul, I believe all the items are from the same man. Incredible to find in a Romanian second-hand clothing shop even though their stock comes from Germany, Somebody must have been having a clean out. As a matter of intrest what rank are officer boards for? Kevin in Deva. :beer:

Hallo Tim, its hard to tell with such low resolution pictures as you have of the object, I played around with the light and contrast a bit, and cannot see any stamps or hall marks on the cross piece itself. As regards my pieces battered and worn as they are I love them, I always had a soft spot for the "Auld Sojer" thats been through the wars. Seeing as the seller is offering a 14 day return hopefully you will get to add some good photos here for closer inspection. Kevin in Deva. :beer:
