Hallo Mark, thank you for your comments, the identification of the Romanian tunic items is noted from the printed description in the museum display cases, I can only note what I see on my annual visits. Many of the tunic items are displayed face outwards and it is not possible to see the rear of the tunics. There is another building in the Museum complex which houses and extensive collection of Romanian uniforms from the Royal Romanian Period on manequins, but I believe many were specially made for display purposes and are not original to the specific period items. Your pictures are fantastic, great medal bars on display, but, as with many paper / picture items it is very hard to obtain 100% complete period items, I have seen many pictures obviously ripped from books to sell individually and many others in very poor condition. Please feel free to check out my thread on the "Ghosts of Bellu Cemetery" I posted many pictures that I photographed from Romanian Military Officers Gravestones that you might find interesting. Balkan Cartridge/Powder Tin?
Kev in Deva replied to Stuart Bates's topic in Southern European & Balkan States
In my opinion a commercial Musket ball / wad pouch? Gun-Powder was usually held in flasks which made for easier pouring into the barrel of the gun. Kevin in Deva.
