    1. There remains the possibility the "shadowed" cap-badge is in fact painted in a dark colour. Kevin in Deva. :beer:
    2. Rear:- No apparant makers marks, some slight scratching to the rear left middle and lower arm (as you look at the picture). It also came without the original ribbon Kevin in Deva. :beer:

    5. A Great Find!! Awarded in the time of peace as there are no swords incorporated in the design. The firm of Joseph Resch & Fratii (Brothers) were also the Royal Jewelers to the Romanian Royal Family.     12. Breast Order of the Star of Romania. With damage to the Arms of the Cross. Also included in with the Romanian Order of the Star were these items. The Cross with Ladies bow was awarded to Nurses for their work with the wounded of the Independence War of 1877 /78. Kevin in Deva. :cheers:

Romanian Victory in the Independence War of 1877 /78 Medal* 5. Romanian Officers Service Medal for 18 - 25 years 6. Imperial Russia Commemorative War with Turkey Medal. * all Romanian Victory Medals for the Independence War of 1877 /78 were originaly gilted, with time, and handling many have lost the gilt application. Romanian Victory Medal for the Independance War of 1877 / 78 6. Romanian Officers 25 Year Service Medal. 7. Imperial Russia Commemorative Medal for the War with Turkey. * The Russian Saint Vladimir has lost part of the swords between the arms of the cross. Colonel GRIGORE CANTILI, Neck Order of the Star of Romania. and his damaged Italian Order of Saints Maurice and Lazarus* *It is noted in the Book:- "FOREIGN DECORATIONS IN THE PATRIMONY OF THE NATIONAL MILITARY MUSEUM" published in 2005 that General Grigore Cantilli received this award. Hallo Mark, thank you for your comments, the identification of the Romanian tunic items is noted from the printed description in the museum display cases, I can only note what I see on my annual visits. Many of the tunic items are displayed face outwards and it is not possible to see the rear of the tunics. There is another building in the Museum complex which houses and extensive collection of Romanian uniforms from the Royal Romanian Period on manequins, but I believe many were specially made for display purposes and are not original to the specific period items. Your pictures are fantastic,great medal bars on display, but, as with many paper / picture items it is very hard to obtain 100% complete period items, I have seen many pictures obviously ripped from books to sell individually and many others in very poor condition. Please feel free to check out my thread on the "Ghosts of Bellu Cemetery" I posted many pictures that I photographed from Romanian Military Officers Gravestones that you might find interesting. Romanian Military Virtue Medal 1 Class in Gold / Gilt. 2. Romanian Order of the Star of Romania. 3. Imperial Russia Order of St. Stanislaus*. 4. Romanian "Crossing the Danube" Cross 1877/78 5. Romanian Victory Medal for the Independence War of 1877 / 78. 6. Imperial Russia Commemorative Medal for the War against Turkey. * The Saint Stanislaus Order has some damage between the arms of the Cross. Tunic for a Lt-Col "Calarasi" Regiment of Militia.
