General Adjutant question

General Adjutant for Wilhelm I

Ok guys?. This is probably in the wrong place.. but here is a couple of questions?..

1)Did Field Marshals ever hold the post of Gen Adj to the Kaiser (Wilhelm I) ?

2)If you were a lower rank general and Adj to the Kaiser (Wilhelm I)?. And then later on was promoted to Field Marshall AFTER Wilhelm I died, would you / could you still wear his cipher on your shoulder board.

I know with Waldersee? he was Adj to all three Kaisers??.. and when he was promoted to FM he would have worn Wilhelm II cipher.

Just a couple of puzzling questions ?.. any thoughts and/or names would be appreciated.
