CHRIS W
Here's my latest find a Bavarian Officers Frack Bar. The enamel on the MVO and the Bremen are perfect, but the Hamburg has a chipped arm. It's hard to tell but it looks like the MVO is marked GH 950. What can you tell about this guys career? Is this from a navy guy with the two Hanseatic Crosses? Thanks for your help Chris

Paul C
I would say Navy but it has a red back which is usually army.
Guest Rick Research
Backing color only helps with bars worn on uniforms, not for a civilian tuxedo-wear bar like this.It could be either Army or Navy. No way to guess on a Frackspange.
CHRIS W
Am I correct in assuming this is a Leutenants bar with only wartime service since there are no prewar or long service awards?Chris
