Tom Y Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Looks good to me. Right colors, right pattern, honest looking wear. How does it smell?
Douglas Jr. Posted September 21, 2006 Author Posted September 21, 2006 Tom,I didn?t have the opportunity for a close study... Thanks for the input.Douglas.
Chip Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Douglas Jr.Everything looks fine to me as well. Just wondering. however, why the liner retaining brads are not through the hole on the inside?Chip
Tony Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 I always thought the leather interior of the M17 should be white but maybe not.Tony
Tom Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 I always thought the leather interior of the M17 should be white but maybe not.TonyI think they did this in case their wasn't enough leather.
Hun Helmet Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 The helmet shell looks fine to me. The liner pads seem to be the M16 type on an M17 band. Not only are the pads supposed to be white, even if they did substitute the leather the cut or design of the pads in the M17, from the M16 is a little different. It is possible that they used the M16 pads in some production of the M17 liner but then the rear pin is missing or not going all the way through. All the parts look good to me so at worst it's a parts helmet. If the right price it would be worth picking up.
Douglas Jr. Posted October 10, 2006 Author Posted October 10, 2006 Everyone,Thanks for your kind assistance concenring this helmet. Unfortunately, the price offer was not reasonable (in fact, toooooooo high) and I dropped from the business. All the best,Douglas.
