    [attachmentid=57464][attachmentid=57465]

    Gents I have trying for quite some time to naildown the time frame for this stickpin. I guess it would be a light metal craft flying group. The maker is Lehmann & Wundenberg Hanover who is not among the RZM makers. I am hoping another member could take a look and speculate. Another brainteaser will follow this one. Take Care and thank you. Robert

    The wings form a "VW" so i assume, it has maybe something to do with Volkswagen? "Betriebs-Sport-Abteilung" means Company-sports-department, but the "Leichtmetall" (light metal) doesn?t make sense in this connection, although its not impossible, that VW had a seperate branch or factory for light metal in my opinion.

    I am curious, what other german speaking members think.

    Nice one, Robert.

    best,

    Gerd

    Lehmann & Wundenberg, Hanover was making badges during the NS period as I have a racing pigeon badge made by them. I won't post it here as it will deviate from the question, but at least you know that the manufacturer was around at that time.

    Cheers

    I too believe that this badge is from the period (thanks Bob) and although I cannot agre 100% that it has anything to do with VW, it is certainly something to do with gliders made of aluminium (perhaps) than wood and canvas.

    Regards,

    Pete
