dond
Jan, how about weights and measurments. I notice the swaz doesn't touch the tank turret.
Jan Arne S
Hi Don !I should have added the Weith and measurement at once , but here they are . Weight : 35,6 gr .Measurement : H = 60.3 mm , W= 41.6 mm . Jan Arne
Gordon Williamson
Hi Jan Arne,Don't know how much it will help but here is Steinhauer's original catalogue illustration of their Panzer Badge. Even with the limitations of a catalogue illustration, I can see several differences.
dond
The mm looks to be added after the fact. Note the lack of finish in it. The gap between the swaz and the wreath as well as between the turret and the wreath are very pronounced. I don't get a warm and fuzzy from this one. Dan Levesque
THe grass pattern does not match my two S&L PAB's and yours is much heavier too! My bronze weights in at 29.86 grams however the measurements are very close. I agree with Don on this one considering the gap between the tank and Swaz and the mm stamp.Dan
Jan Arne S
Hi Guys !Gordon ! Thanks ! I had saved Your pics from S&L Catalogue from earlier, and I have compared with pics . And like You write there are some differences . Dan ! This is the first PAB of this variant I ever have seen , and it can be a modern fake . But if it is a Fake , shouldent we have seen a lot of them . Don ! Have You ever seen this variant before ? Have You seen the Fake made after a S&L PAB they have talk about ? Dan Levesque
I found two PAB's in my fake files that have the gap between the tank and swaz, but the pictures are not very good so I can't really see the grass pattern very well.I believe these were both found to be fakes on the WAF . .Dan Edited October 21, 2006 by Dan Levesque
