Erich S Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 Here is my unusial Sclageter Badge. It is die struck and solid backed. It is oval shaped rather than rectangle Tinnies you usually see. The Maker is Paulmann and Crone the same as the tinnie version. Has anyone seen one like it? Looks to me to be an award.

Scowen Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 Nice badge Erich. I'm wodering whether it's another variation for the rallies that happened on this date in D?sseldorf. I'm sure that you are familier with the tinnie I've posted below which has a similar design, it can also be found without the HJ wording. Perhaps it was a badge for the dignitaries attending the events? If it was an award I would expect to see the date of 26 Mai 1923 somewhere on it as this was the actual date on which he was executed near Dusseldorf.CheersDon
Erich S Posted October 20, 2006 Author Posted October 20, 2006 Thanks for your input Don. I think that it is a tinnie as well. You sure don't see many of these though!
Scowen Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 You sure don't, it's a beauty of a badge whatever it is CheersDon
Wood Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 You are right Don, according to Tieste's books its one of several variants of this badge produced in the same place at the same time. It is, however, a harder one to get.Regards,Pete

BURGERHAUS Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 [attachmentid=58019] Just slightly however. In 1936 observed on May 24. I did a little search and found that 24 May is a Wednesday. Maybe held at night with much firelight?
e-militaria Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 Here are three of mineThe 2 on the right are made by Paulmann & Crone
