Guest Rick Research Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 These are of a lesser degree than the Supreme, Republic, Region, City, and Local Soviet members badges (and a SEPARATE thread on all of those and their nifty photo IDs and "credit cards" would be nice if anyone has any, hint hint). These are just Party Congress delegate badges, here for the 26th and 27th Ukrainian sessions of the Communist Party. The 27th session of the CPSU for the whole USSR was in 1987, but I do not know if the Ukrainian Republic one matched that date or not, or when the others were over time. I assume at this stage of my ignorance that these are both from the late 1980s. I've had them since the mid 1990s:[attachmentid=60822]I can't figure out what the "squiggle" maker mark is on Session XXVI. The XVII was made by either "KOZ" or "KYuZ"... K.... (Something) Factory. Rather cheap "nail polish" plastenamel on hard metal flags, though the mock silver generic official Lenin head looks quite nice.Unlike the flag badges for Soviet members-- which indicated power and position-- these seem to be for going off on a junket, listening to speeches, and then going home again: convention attendee pins?
