Where was the 15 Bay. Inf. Regt. Sept. 15

Hello,

I?ve been looking online trying to find the whereabouts of the 1st Bavarian AK, 2 Div.,15th Bavarian Inf. Regiment, 10th Company, No. 2 platoon in about the middle of September 1915, but can?t find anything.

I believe they were on the Somme and would like to know if they were facing the French or newly arrived British. The soldier in question was killed by a trench mortar after the 4th Sept. (last letter home) and before 17th September.

Can any of you help me out here?

will take a look. They were indeed on the Somme, at a rough glance between Dompiere and maricourt for most of 1915, then in mid october by Neuville-Souchez.

I must see if something more is to be found.
