PABLO Teale Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Hello guys,I'm looking to buy this RK but would like everyone's opinions first please. The core is magnetic, the frame is marked 800, and the ring 935. In your opinions is the cross a genuine wartime piece? And was it made by S&L?Thanks for your time,Paul.
PKeating Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 It looks like an "800" Steinhauer & L?ck KC without beading flaws to me. I have squinted at the beading and can see no flaws. It is therefore more likely than many other S&L crosses to be an original, wartime piece. Click here to see another S&L cross with minor flaws. Leaving the issue of the flaws aside, these crosses appear to have come from the same dies. PK
PABLO Teale Posted January 2, 2007 Author Posted January 2, 2007 Thanks for the feedback PK, much appreciated.Paul.
PABLO Teale Posted January 4, 2007 Author Posted January 4, 2007 C'mon guys, nobody got any more opinions on this cross?
PABLO Teale Posted January 13, 2007 Author Posted January 13, 2007 Well, it suprised me with the lack of feedback for this RK. I expected a lot more looking at other threads. Anyway, I now own this Knights Cross of the Iron Cross. Here are some pics, what do you think? If anything!Regards,Paul.
DavidM Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 HelloI'm no expert on these (yet !!) but it looks good to me. As I've said elsewhere, one day I too will have a 39 RK. In the meantime I shall look enviously on from the sidelines.
