Guest Rick Research Posted January 12, 2007 Share Posted January 12, 2007 Placed immediately in front of the military long service awards near the bottom of Cuban precedence, exactly how "distinguisehd" the actual "service" was which earned one of these is also as yet unknown.It seems to be-- at these stage of the pending collapse-- the medal which is most "widely" (if that can be said about anything Communist Cuban currently ) availableas the most basic military merit award apparently handed out to visiting Socialist Brothers In Arms in years past. It turns up in quite a few Soviet groups: see ribbon bars thread for instance.It is 30mm in diameter, slightly smaller than what seems the usual (?) size of 32mm for Cuban medals.
