Laurence Strong Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 This member of the Sikh Light Infantry has a 4 medal bar on his chest, the 3rd one appears not to have a medal on it. What medal would it be for? I have heard of people wearing a ribbon on a ribbon bar for a medal not yet recieved but never on a medal bar, is this ths case and was this common? Thanks for your help.
Ed_Haynes Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 (edited) This practice is quite common, as mounted medals are worn often and the issuing process drags. Looks like the havildar is wearing the Sainya Seva Medal, High Altitude Service Medal, 50th Independnece Anniversary Medal, and the 9-Year Service Medal. Edited February 3, 2007 by Ed_Haynes
