The Honor Cross for Medical Aid Volunteers in War.Instituted on 31 March, 1916 for "exemplary(?) service in the nursing of the sick during war."It came in 3 types; 1914/1916, 1914/1917, or 1914/1918 on the reverse. The 35 mm. ribbon was whitec with 3 grass grreen stripes.If my translation is correct, this is the full sized medal. With the Boonzaier Standard of Measure to show the size.
