I found an engineer from the Gefion, which was involved at Tientsin, who maybe fit the bar. His DOA entry is Otto Eltze Mar.Oberstab Ing. a.D. in Potsdam (4.8.56) DChm, RAO4, PCO4, DA, Centennial. As mentioned the Gefion was at Tientsin. Eltze was out after 1903. He was you enough, 58 years old, to have had some service in WWI. Can anyone confirm a Bayern connection or WWI service for Eltze?
