Freikorps von Brandis

does anyone have any info about this unit? especially how big it was, how many companies etc?

All I've got is that it was formed under a Captain von Brandis in January 1919 for action in the Baltic.

And here he is, of Douaumont fame.

I have a doc group to a man who served with him in WW1 and in the Freikorps... was curious how big the Freikorps was.

A few later SS Generals were in it, as was Ramcke.

There's a uniform tunic from that Freikorps (elk horn collars) on display at the Rastatt museum.

It also has a silver wire sleeve badge for the Guard Pioneers...............best one I've ever seen.
