Guest Rick Research Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 I've never seen that Gold Star Mother lapel pin... how were issued ones marked-- with a name, or a serial number?
Rich Yankowski Posted August 2, 2005 Author Posted August 2, 2005 I believe the issued ones were serial numbered. Here's a few sites for more info one them.http://www.goldstarmoms.com/http://www.goldstarmothers.us/http://www.west-point.org/family/bicent/go...oldmothers.html
Guest Walt Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 I have 2 issued ones, they have initals engraved on the reverse. I've never seen one that was serial numbered. How common are the 1967 dated ones? I'v only seen 1 so far, and I have yet to get one myself.
ehrentitle Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 I just purchased one of these pins on E-bay last week and had no idea what the initals were for. Thanks. I'll try to post a photo here if I can get my scanner working. Kevin
