A couple of German ranklist questions

    Recommended Posts

    1. What was the official title of the post WW1 German navy ranklist?

    2. What years were the Reichsheer published?

    3. What years were the post 1918 navy ranklists publish, excluding TR?

    Thanks in advance.

    1) Rangliste der Deutschen Reichsmarine

    presumably changed to

Rangliste der Deutschen Kriegsmarine in 9135

    2) From 1923 to 1932. Other issues were secret and not officially "published" though they were printed. There are position lists partial seniority lists from before 1923 and after 1932. The last full position list was November 1938-- secretly printed in January 1939.

    3) PROBABLY the same as the Reichsheer. The earliest Reichsmarine I have is 1924. I think there were annual seniority lists after the 1933-34 Black Hole from 1935-39 (?), and there were several during the war. Not sure whether they went semi-annual during the war or we simply do not have knowledge of the secret wartime editions. The navy's lists were public up to the start of the Second World War.
