That's an interesting route, since this was for actual long service and wouldn't think it could/should have been given to a Visiting Comrade as an "honorary" award-- per statutes.

Is yours a matte gold finish, or is it just your camera shot came out better than scans of the usual horrid Staybrite type shiny cheap finish?

We're still trying to work out why some few awards are a nice matte finish and all the rest are Staybrite type "flashed on."
