WW1 M16 helmet colours

Hopefully should be a simple question.

What colour should original WW1 issue M16 helmets be?

I have seen one locally for sale that is a light green coulor.

Not sure if the should be dark green or grey etc.

I have period helmets that run from a light olivy green to a dark green.

The earlier helmets were a lighter color green, I believe sometimes referred to as apple green. I can take a comparative photo for you if you would like a better understanding of the difference.
