Lancer cap or collar?

I know little about these, so I need some help here.

Pictured with the medal for size.

It is of high quality, the silver parts are seperate.

Is this an officers quality cap badge, an ORs collar badge, a side cap badge???

Any help appretiated.

I'll go for an OR collar dog, I think it's too small for a cap badge.

They were made in 2 pieces as far as I know, brass and white metal. An officers badge may have been in real silver, hallmarked and if in 2 pieces, may have been riveted.

All Brit badges are high quality
