WWII German Generals book

Hello

I am looking for a textbook that will list all the German Generals from WWII. I am especifically looking tp get more information or photos oh pioneer General Hans Bessel.

I have already copies of his military records, but I only have one photo that I got from axis research forum.

Was that the portrait from the ongoing Biblio Verlag army generals biographies?

That tends to be THE standard source for such information.

His WW1 awards were:

Prussian Iron Crosses 1st and 2nd Class

Saxe-Meiningen War Honor Cross (SMK)

1918 Army Black Wound Badge

and

Austro-Hungarian Military Merit Cross 3rd Class with War Decoration (?M3K)

I also found that he was involved in the construction of the Gustav line.

Wolf Keilig "Die Generale des Heeres" list all with military info

Keilig (my own "most recent" ARMY General source ) came out in 1958, so the ongoing Biblio Verlag volumes, which I gather are being posted on that website with some uncreditted "copyright issues" is much more recent, as well as detailed.

Nothing will be as detailed as the Biblio volumes.
