Guest Rick Research
An EXTREMELY expensive private patriotic/? Red Cross contributions pin.P?llath/Poellath of Schrobenhausen is probably the best known "non House Jeweller" Bavarian badge maker, best known for their WW1 aviation badges...and the endless debate about the inconsistencies in how the firm spelled their names! Then there is the just resolved "issue" of their 1944 contract Westwall Medal packets-- which got the TOWN spelled wrong! This is the EARLIEST date-able "C."arl P"oe"llath spelling I've encountered. Guest Rick Research
Oh, then. The average patriotic lapel badge was not silver like this. This is a very splendid "tinnie" indeed. Now? No clue. Unofficial pins like this aren't in the price guides the way official awards are.
