There are at least two books about Moraht and his exploits as commander of U-64 which might provide some of the information you need. The first one at least is very cheap and probably worth buying on the off chance.

Strangely , despite the fact the is said to have rejoined the Navy in WW2 and served as commander of Bornholm island until 1945, he is not listed in the 1944 Rank List. He didn't pass away until 1956 so certainly survived the war.

Hopefully some of the Imperial guys may have more info.
