An Austro-Hungarian Order of the iron Crown seems VERY odd indeed alone and device-less with a Hessian pair, but who can say?That's what a small box for Strange And/Or Dubious Things is for. We all have one. I have seen at least one "stupidly impossible" medal bar turn up in an original period photo several years later being worn by the original recipient. I thought this was a quite sure sign for a baaaaad one ...
