JBFloyd Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Can anyone tell me what this represents (other than a moth's breakfast)? Looks like an ROTC/school patch of some sort. It came with a WWII 24th Division medal group.

A very quick search for "ROTC torch " comes up with dozens of hits, including a current metal insignia for JROTC students in th Basic service course.Peter Monahan
David S Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 It's probably nothing, but all (or most) ROTC torches have the flames on the right, this item pictured has the flame going to the leftMost likely ROTC as mentioned
JBFloyd Posted December 4, 2007 Author Posted December 4, 2007 Thanks. There's always that hope that the item unidentified will turn out to be the holy grail of the patch world, but, in this case, just a patch.
