Mike Dwyer Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 No, no, no, Kevin, they've got it all wrong........that's an imperial crown on the badge, not the royal Prussian crown, so that's a badge from the Imperial German Poultry Corps which provided chickens to feed the troops! See that's a little chicken in the middle, not an eagle.
Robin Lumsden Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 That's a rare beast............the badge of the 'auto & aeronautical' lot (can't be bothered to dig out the book references at the moment). Goering and Huehnlein wore it.
Guest WAR LORD Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Rare beast is the understatement. Comes in silver and gold. There is a miniture as well, this is even rarer. The lesser grade is just the diagonal blade with the eagle. This was worn horisontally oever the breast pocket.
