Guest Rick Research Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Yeah, that is a VERY interesting combination of frontline and home-service decorations. No way to tell from this combination if the wearer was an officer or an NCO, or a regular or reservist. The combination suggests army to me. But a Vizefeldwebel dL or a Major? Can't tell. IF this person was an officer-rank dR or dL who was in the Prussian or Reichs civil service, thanks to Paul C we now have Seniority Lists from 1918 for BOTH, showing wartime awards. Ther are thousands of pages, but a combination like this may leap out at us some day while wading through all the new material.Maybe traceable. Maybe. Sooooooooomeday.
christerd Posted December 22, 2007 Author Posted December 22, 2007 Thanks Rick !What shall I look for ? Any Rank lists for 1918+ ? I suppose its a impossible mission, but well stranger things happens.regards Christer
Guest Rick Research Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 It will be pure chance/good luck. If we knew WHICH Prussian long service award that was....
