DDR Awards of the SED

Something we don't seem to have done is a thread on political awards. Specifically those of the SED so I thought I would start one to see what the forum members have in their collection. Lets start with the award for 40 years of SED party membership.

It comes in a black case with a grey design that Imagine is supposed to simulate leather. The case is 10cm (3 15/16") wide, 15cm (5 7/8") tall and 2.6cm (1") deep. The esign on the bottom of the case is identical to that of the top.

Edit-I should have mentioned that this is not an official SED party award, even though it was awarded by the KL of D?BELN.

The award certificate. It is attached to the interior of the top of the case and has not been filled in. It is in recognition of 40 years of membership and is presented to _______ by the SED-Kreisleitung D?BELN. It is 4cm (1 5/8") wide, 9.5CM (3 11/16") tall and .3CM (1/4") deep.

The back of the plaque is a plain "pebbled" surface.

Here's the 20 Year DDR medal with case I latched onto awhile back. Wasn't sure of exactly what I had until I contacted Paul Bartel, who told me it should be classified as an SED honour award. Anyway, here it is:
